Eddie James (Jim) Humphries, PE, President
Mr. Humphries has been involved in water resources studies since his graduating from Harvard University. His Master’s thesis from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology addressed the theoretical relationship of topography on large-scale soil moisture distribution. After completing graduate studies in 1996, Mr. Humphries has been involved in both public and private sector work. He was stormwater engineer for the City of St. Augustine for two years before going to work for Engineering Methods & Applications, Inc., (now Watershed Concepts, an AECOM Company). There, he conducted numerous floodplain studies, including significant contributions to and oversight of Flood Insurance Studies throughout the Southeastern United States. In 2006, he started Humphries Consulting & Engineering, Inc., to focus specifically on water resources solutions and floodplain studies.
